Appearance:
Both are around 6'5", though when hunched over (Which is most of the time) they are around 6'. Each wear a pure white suit which, unlike most Brute Splicer clothes, fit them perfectly (They were custom made). Both wear black undershirts with white ties, black dress shoes, and black fedoras with white belts around the brim. They are extremely muscular, both of them being slightly more built than the average Brute Splicer. Both have black, slicked back hair and brown eyes, and both are clean shaven. They both have pale white skin.
Personality:
Both Burnie and Butch are pretty lacking in the brains department. They are polite enough, but lack much personality. They are very violent, though, and take extreme pleasure in fighting and killing others, though their impulses are kept in check by Pietro, their boss. When not protecting Pietro or following his orders, they tend to work out, listen to music, or sleep. They, like, Pietro, are fully aware of the politics of Rapture, they merely lack an opinion on the subject, prefering to let their boss call the shots. The two are also fiercley loyal to each other, as many twins are. Though they spar and fight on occaision, they are normally inseperable.
History:
Butch and Bernie were born to a poor dockworkers family in England. When Rapture was built, the family was invited to become citizens with promises of a brighter future. So, when both Butch and Bernie were rather young, their family became one of the first families in Rapture. They never attended school, and were instead put to work in the docks once they were old enough, given a job lifting and hauling boxes of fish due to their immense strength.
During his tour of Rapture upon his arrival, Pietro was looking around for a new bodyguard, as his old one had not been allowed passage to the city. While beeing shown around Fontaine Fisheries, he came across Butch and Bernie, and knew immediately that he had to hire one of them. However, when he approached them, he found that both of them refused to go unless the other was hired. Pietro found their devotion admirable, and as such, decided to hire both of them.
Around the time of Raptures fall, Pietro ordered them to splice up, so that they could continue to do their duties in the increasingly harsh environment of Rapture. As Pietro was paying for the treatments, the twins could hardly refuse. They quickly grew fond of their newfound strength, working out even after the treatments to build even more muscle. Pietro had them fitted with special suits to accomodate their new size.
Now, they continue to serve Pietro, who feeds them and allows them to live in luxury within his apartment. He also allows them some "free time" on occaision, letting them roam Rapture to kill smaller splicers and generallly wreck things.
