Special Abilities:
Regeneration: As a little sister, Rose can regenerate very quickly due to ADAM. When she gets hurt, all wounds go away rapidly as her body regenerates and heals. Also, due to her fast regeneration, she can walk on any harsh surface without problem.
Invulnerable to damage: With the sea slugs within her body, she is practically immune to any physical damage taken.
Invulnerable to pain: Unlike most little sisters who can still feel pain, Rose does not. The reason for this is still unknown.
Flaws: Although Little Sisters are "invincible" and able to regenerate any damage, this invincibility is not perfect. An example of this is if the Little Sister were to break her legs, forcing them at odd angles, they would heal so quickly the bones would fuse at these angles. Also, she is still vuleranble If the ADAM were to be forcibly removed from her body by harvesting the sea slug. She would die.
Appearance:
Rose has a very small and petite build. She has blonde hair with deep dark shadows around her baggy blue eyes and a pale complexion, almost corpse-like. Her outfit consists of a full skirt with puffed sleeves and a pinafore apron attached to it. The dress is lined with lace and is a combination of blue and white. The skirt is blue while the pinafore apron is white in color. A head bow is also part of the ensemble besides stripped stockings. It is tattered and bloody and runs around barefooted.
Personality:
A cautious, innocent, kind and sensitive young girl, Rose enjoys showing acts of kindness, despite her incredibly awkward social behavior. She can be viewed as a coward or standoffish, but she has been brave and on several occasions saved her own life, and occasionally the life of another. She is slightly mentally unstable due to her past experiences and the transformation into a Little Sister. This can be seen when she talks to herself, corpses(Angels) inanimate objects or stuffed animals to comfort herself. Despite this, she has still maintained much of her innocence and optimism.
Rose is very ditzy and a klutz and is prone to hurting herself frequently, although it is accidental and unintentional. She is very gullible and naive, and because of this, she finds it difficult to comprehend when someone is joking, because she sincerely takes it seriously. Rose can become extremely attached and even get a little clingy fast. This is especially the case with Big Daddies and Big Sisters. Rose can become very insensitive sometimes. She can seem totally devoid of emotion and be very blunt. She lacks the fear of anything. She isn't afraid of anything at all. However, she does have the instinct of keeping away from anything dangerous. To strangers, she will appear emotionless, until she gets to know them.
Even though she is a little sister, she is still very much a little girl and maintains a childish, and curious outlook on many things, but with a sense of maturity. She is well mannered, polite, and courteous.
History:
Rose was born in 1957 to the daughter of a wealthy man. She was loved by both of her parents dearly. Her siblings always looked after her, and she was spoiled rotten, being the youngest ouf of many. Her parents were both business people and the family was well known throughout Europe.
One day, her family decided to go on a cruise. A cruise to America. There were many in this cruise who were immigrants going to find a better life in America, but not Rose's family. They were going there for vacation. It was great how they were so much better off than so many people. They would never have to suffer, she thought. Until she disappeared from the boat itself. The large cruise ship sailed next to the lighthouse, but the boat passed it, not taking any notice of it at all. However, Rapture didn't fail to notice the ship. Mysteriously, the ship was sunk. Big Daddies had attacked the ship from under the water. There were survivors, and the Dawson family was one of them, only because they were the wealthy treated with respect. Many poor families were shut in the ship and drowned.
But Rose Dawson was nowhere to be found. It was believed that she drowned, too. Her family was crushed by their daughter's supposed death.
She was put in the Orphanage of Rapture where there were many little girls just like her, who had no idea where they were and how they had gotten there. She was one of the early on candidates to become a Little Sister, because she had no life in Rapture.
Rose did have a cat, however. She had fed a stray kitten from Rapture and the kitten didn't stop from following her, and became her only friend. The cat was a strange purple color with a big fuzzy tail and had large glowing eyes, and could turn invisible at will. This was due to the cat being a stray, he had resorted to eating corpses filled with ADAM. It had turned the cat into what it was. Rose had named the cat Rum Tum Tugger, or Tugger for short.
It wasn't long after that she was turned into a Little Sister. Just like many, she was genetically altered and mentally conditioned to reclaim ADAM from the corpses around Rapture. However, she was different from most Little Sisters. Not only was she immune to physical damage, but immune to pain as well. This was not accomplished my many little sisters, but more than any of them, she was bound by her will to collect ADAM, and could never wander away from her Big Daddy. During this time, she had found a place in Persephone, deep in the caves. There were blue glowing crystals growing out from the rock. They released their own beautiful blue light, and it became Rose's safe haven. Nobody else knew of this place, except for her Big Daddy.
Rose also developed her own language. Although she could speak English, she created a language that only her Big Daddy could understand. She taught this language to her Big Daddy so that they could talk to each other secretly. Even though her Big Daddy spoke in whale noises, she could always understand him. Only she carries her language interpreter on her person, written on a piece of paper. Her cat also strangely understands this language.
Inventory:
- A cat: This cat follows her around everywhere. But this isn't just any ordinary cat. Feeding off of a sea slug and ADAM, this cat was given special powers. It allowed the cat to have glowing eyes and gave it the special ability to become invisible. Other than that, it is just an ordinary cat. Like a little sister, it can survive underwater for long periods of time.
